As a whisky writer, Felipe has been widely published across industry magazines and websites. He is a senior contributor for Forbes.com writing about spirits, and is regularly featured in Whisky Magazine, The Whiskey Wash, Unfiltered, and many other platforms. His book, London Cocktails, is published by Cider Mill Press and is distributed worldwide by Simon and Schuster.
For his work, he was awarded the 2022 Icons of Whisky Communicator of the Year and the 2021 Alan Lodge Young International Drinks Writer of the Year, and he was named in the shortlist for the 2022 Fortnum and Mason Drinks Writer of the Year and the 2022 IWSC Spirits Communicator of the Year awards. .
Felipe is an extremely experienced whisky tasting host of both live and virtual tastings. In-person events include distillery showcases, festival masterclasses and paired experiences with live music, cigars, cheese, gourmet food and more. He has led more than 250 online tastings for over 3500 people around the world since April 2020.
As a musician, he is the co-founder of The Rhythm and Booze Project, a duo fusing live music and whisky through gigs, tasting events, and multimedia. Past projects encompass performances at the Edinburgh Fringe of the band's own show Two Guys, Three Drams which combined live blues with whisky tasting, and building the world's first bass drum made from an entire Scotch whisky cask with a barrel of Lagavulin. He is the co-founder of Rhythm and Booze Records, a hybrid indie spirits bottler and record label.
He is also the lead singer of Trójmiasto cajun and soul band Mojo and award-winning Edinburgh blues band The Blueswater.
